Building the online newsroom for an iconic brand

Description

The American Express Newsroom is an extensively customized Drupal themed site that was built "pixel perfect" from client supplied mockups and style guides. It was one of the more complex projects I've had to work on.

My Role

In addition to the CSS and JavaScript I created to for this project, to meet client specifications, I had to make detailed changes to our Drupal standard newsroom templates. This was the only way I was able accomodate the complex layouts the client requested.

Key Insights

Communication is key!

On a proejct as complex as this, sending out simple, regular status updates to all stakeholders meant I received fewer interuptions throughout the day. This led to improved productivity as I was able to focus on the project at hand.
